Man-tras for a man filled March 👻
5 mantras for leap day, 5 must do’s for March, and 5 purchases you will thank me for.
I had the busiest week ever, because my 21 year old cousin came to visit me and demanded that I give her “6 days in Dini’s life” so that’s what she got - including her credit card and cash being stolen from her WHILE she was making out with someone at Gospel at 4.30am. Could anything be more Dini-coded? I don’t think so.
She had a great attitude about it saying it was perfect for the plot, which got me thinking, maybe we all need some mantras to get us to live our lives to the fullest. Especially since today is February 29th, it feels fitting to give you 5 mantras for you to repeat to yourself today, for an extraordinary leap day (and next four years).
Be more crazy. Have you pretended to pass out in an Uber so that the driver has to drop you back to a guy’s house? Have you then proceeded to sping up once he has carried you into his apartment and tried to hook up with him? Are you now consistently going on dates with this guy?…. Turns out acting absolutely unhinged works. As does sending a guy a list of things to do: from date nights at minimum 1 star Michelin restaurants, to adding you as a dependent on his card. My takeaway: we all want to be main characters, and feel like our life is a movie - so when you act insane, you’re pushing the plot along. Maybe you will get your fairytale ending or maybe its a horror story. Either way, at least shit is happening.
Gotta catch them all. As women, there is a false premium placed on exclusivity. We are conditioned to believe that we need to get a guy to commit ASAP, and that from the first date onwards, the clock starts ticking on how soon you can lock him down. But the best way to optimize finding the right partner is to date as many men, at the same time as you possibly can - you want to see what all is out there before you commit, so that when you do, you know it really is with the right guy. I know too many friends who jumped into dating the first guy who asked them, and missed out on finding someone who was truly compatible. The goal is to find the right person, no matter how long it takes - not settle for the first, you don’t get a prize for being the first down the aisle. Today is the last day the sun sets before 6pm until October 29th, so go make the most of the sunshine, and go on so so many dates!!
If everything fails, get a boob job.
