Weekend in Copenhagen

After Paris, my favourite city for a girls trip has got to be Copenhagen. There’s phenomenal food, so much vintage shopping, incredible pastries (and gorgeous scandi six foot men!!) There are direct cheap flights from New York on most airlines so no reason not to pop over for a quick weekend trip!

Day 1

Start your day at Apotek 57. People will tell you to go to Atelier September for breakfast, but Apotek 57 is far far superior food wise (and just as vibey). It’s run by Matilda Djerf lookalikes with perfect hair - and the savory waffle, croissant sandwich and cardamom bun are to die for.

my blood is 99% cardamom bun

Time to shop! Walk around the streets of Indre By - some of my favs are Magnolias for insane vintage, classic chic Danish design at Hay House, and Collector’s Cage for steals on vintage bags.

Grab lunch at Esmee Impeccable vibes - with some of the best sourdough bread with green garlic butter, and a stunning soft serve with chantilly cream and the freshest juiciest strawberries.

Go be a little kid at Tivoli. This was the original inspiration for Disneyland and it’s beyond whimsical. Not really worth getting a pass for the rides (they’re not particularly thrilling or particularly sturdy), but you can buy tickets as you go for whatever strikes your fancy. I forced my friend Emilia on Moondancer, and forced an elderly Polish man to accompany me on the Daemon roller coaster oops.

having fun i swear!

Drinks at Polpette. Copenhagen is full of wine bars. This is one of the cutest IMO.

Get pizza at Baest. Pizza?? In Denmark?? Trust me their mastery of bread extends to pizza dough - fluffiest most flavourful crust (and I usually leave my crust) I’ve ever had! Get the plate of mozzarella - you won’t regret it, and you will somehow finish it!
